We are the South Asian Artists’ Community (SAAC) - a growing collective of artists of South Asian heritage, rooted in Milton Keynes and connected by a shared passion for creativity, culture, and community.
SAAC was founded in December 2023 on a simple yet powerful idea: that when artists come together, they don’t just create art - they create belonging.
SAAC continues to grow - we are always looking for passionate volunteers who want to support our work, whether through events, outreach, or behind-the-scenes support.
If you’d like to be part of our journey or support our next event, we would love to hear from you.
We also hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) each November - an opportunity to connect, contribute, and shape the future of SAAC together.
SAAC is built on people, passion, and possibility. And this is just the beginning.
To build an inclusive and diverse creative community where South Asian artists are empowered to express their identity, share their stories, and be recognised for their talent - locally and beyond.
We exist to support, uplift, and promote our members and their artwork by fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and mutual growth. Through sharing knowledge, skills, and lived experiences, we create opportunities for artists to develop their practice, gain visibility, and connect with wider audiences.
At SAAC, we believe creativity thrives in community. We are committed to creating safe, welcoming, and accessible spaces where artists at all stages of their journey feel encouraged, inspired, and valued.
SAAC provides a platform for South Asian artists to showcase their work, connect with peers, and engage with the wider community through exhibitions, workshops, creative meet-ups, and cultural events.
Our work is rooted in
Collaboration over competition
Representation and visibility
Cultural storytelling and expression
Community connection and shared growth
In August 2024, SAAC marked its debut with its first group exhibition, 'Kaleidoscope', held at Milton Keynes Central Library. This milestone brought together over 14 artists under one roof, each presenting their unique creative voice through a rich and diverse collection of artworks.
From oil, acrylic, and watercolour paintings to mixed media, resin art, textiles, digital art, string art, photography, and more - 'Kaleidoscope' was a vibrant celebration of artistic diversity and cultural expression. Beyond the artworks, it created meaningful opportunities for visitors to connect, engage, and build relationships with the artists behind the work.
Building on this momentum, our second exhibition 'PRYZM', took place on 30th November 2025 at Horwood House. This immersive cultural experience brought together 17 talented South Asian artists and expanded beyond a traditional exhibition format. In collaboration with Horwood House, the event reached even wider audiences through live coverage on ACR-MK, strengthening our mission to make South Asian art more visible, accessible, and celebrated.
SAAC is more than a network - it’s a movement rooted in creativity, culture, and connection.
Whether you are an emerging artist, an established creative, or someone who simply appreciates.
